Is Your Child Sick?

It’s not always easy caring for a sick child.  At the Desoto Children’s Clinic and Senatobia Children’s Clinic, we understand this, and hope to give you tools and access to the quality healthcare your family needs.  Diseases can progress very fast in children and make them seriously ill in a matter of just a few hours. Your contact with us will help keep that from happening.

Even if the child was seen in our office and the treatment is begun, sometimes the disease may take a turn for the worse, so any worsening of symptoms or new symptoms should be brought to the attention of your pediatrician. A simple viral infection can deadly without any warning and to get good recovery, we must be informed of any changing or persisting symptoms of your child’s disease.

Contact our office or after-hours line immediately if you see ANY signs of the following:

In Newborns up to three months of age

Poor feeding
Irritability
Lethargy
Vomiting
Breathing difficulty
Rectal temperature of 100 degrees or greater
Dusky color
Rapid breathing

In Children over three months of age

Rash
Lethargy
Irritability
Breathing problems
Pale skin color
High fever especially if it is not responding to fever reducing medicine
